Joining the ranks of Savannah, Origan, Druid, Saramacja, all bred in Poland. Europa Cup Winner 2004 and 2005 among his 6 stakes victories including the Derby, Kurozweki, Figaro and Europejczyk. Just beginning his career at stud, GOREC 's first foal to run is a Group 1 winner, ELGORA Z REGULA (out of Elvia by Esplendor).

GOREC is by DRUID PASB ('93), 3/15(13-2-0)11-3, hailed as Poland's best post war racer, compared by many to the legendary Kaszmir 1929 who won 17 times out of 18 starts or which 13 were stakes. DRUID was nominated in 1996 and 1998 Racehorse of the Year as he won the Triple Crown Classics. His stakes record includes wins of the Koheilan Stake, Sambor Stake, Criterium Stake twice, Ofir Stake, Produce Stake, Kabaret Stake, Derby, Europa Cup twice, and Figaro Stake. DRUID was only used at stud for two seasons in Poland, chief sire in Janow in 1998 and the following season at Michalow. In Poland he left but a handful of progeny, among them GOREC and several valuable athletic winners including ELMEN (2003 Produce Stake and 2002 Sambor Stake), and PENTAGRAM (2003 Pamir Stake, 2002 Piechur Stake). DRUID was sold to Turkey in 1999 for $500,000 at the Janow Podlaski public auction.

GOREC's dam, GORDAIA ('91 by Damascus), is herself a stakes winner with a record of 6/19(6-5-0)1-4 in Russia and Poland, 1st Naseem Stake. She also produced Gonges Z Regula ('02 colt by Ganges), 2/7(4-1-2)2-3, who was sold to Kazakhstan. GORDAIA is out of the mare GROZD ('84 by Kumir), 3/16(8-2-1)1-1, 1st Taktika Prize, who also produced the stakes placed Gektor.
